a family heirloom

I love visiting my Memaw and going through old

black and white family photographs.

But what do I LOVE even more?

Finding an heirloom that was in one of the photos!

It’s like winning the jack pot for someone like me!

This Violin (country folk back then referred to it as a “fiddle”)

belonged to my great great uncle.

The photo above was

taken of him outside our family church in Nazareth, Texas.

So, of course, I couldn’t pass up an opportunity to study

and appreciate this precious family heirloom by photographing it.

God, I love antiques! Especially when they are apart of your family history!

memories…

I love going through past photos

and finding something special I had forgotten about.

I took this photo of Layla when she was three.

I adore everything about it, from the expression on her face,

the look in her eyes to the scrappiness of her curly hair.

It’s one of my all time favorites.

A sweet anniversary!

than a good marriage.”

Happy 19 year anniversary!

Love you guys!
